Meal prepping is my favorite tool to help with success in dieting or staying healthy. A little bit of planning can save you time and money during the week, and help you stay on track! Here are my top 3 tips to make meal prepping feel more manageable.

1.      Keep it simple

a.      Pick 3-4 meals that you love and rotate them throughout your week

b.      Keep your focus on balance, lean protein, whole carbs, healthy fats, and veggies

c.      Easy recipes like stir-fries, sheet pan meals, and one-pot dishes are your friends

2.      Use time-saving cooking methods

a.      Batch cooking (I have another post on this if you need more information!)

b.      Crock-pots or instant pots can be assets when making large batches

c.      Roast a large tray of veggies in the oven or on the grill while your protein is cooking in the crock-pot. This will save you some time!

3.      Store and portion

a.      Glass containers help keep your food fresh

b.      Pre-portion meals so they are easy to grab when you are on the go!

c.      If you make too much, freeze some portions so you have less work next week

Meal prepping doesn’t have to mean hours in the kitchen, but it can save you hours in your week!
